Welcome to Brooking Angus Ranch

BROOKING ANGUS RANCH is owned and operated by Justin and Tawnie Morrison and is located at Radville, SK approximately 30 miles North of the border junction of Montana, North Dakota and Canada.

BOTH JUSTIN AND TAWNIE’S FAMILIES have made their sole living from the livestock and agricultural industries for many generations. These roots have laid a passion, desire and understanding to live and raise a family in the seedstock industry.

AT BROOKING ANGUS RANCH we will continuously strive to be a leading seedstock producer to both the commercial and purebred sectors. We recognize that the strength of a cowherd is what makes the foundation of a successful operation. With that thought in mind we have an uncompromising commitment of selective breeding for the best cowherd we possibly can. We pay strong attention to structure, udder quality, hoof quality, fleshing ability, and type while combined with the ability to raise a heavy weaning calf year after year. The base of our cowherd was established while Justin was Managing at Soo Line Cattle Co. About 40% of the cowherd is from Soo Line cows. The remainders are from leading cowherd dispersals and production sales from Canada and the US, which include Flag Ranch Dispersal, Willabar Angus Dispersal, Lookout Angus Dispersal, Brussett Angus Dispersal, Remington Dispersal, Werner Angus, Duff Cattle Co., and Ellingson Angus.

2026 Brooking Donation Heifer

JSTN 203P

This year is special and so is this year’s donation heifer, we dug deep! Selling out of tickets this year will put us over the $100,000 for giving back directly to the juniors!

This top end heifer will be given to a junior between the ages of 8-18. To win the heifer, an entry needs to be purchased in the name of a junior that is an active member of 4-H or a junior association and is a Canadian citizen. We will draw a name and that lucky junior owns this heifer! 7 more names will also be drawn and they will receive up to $2000 bursary to purchase a heifer (heifer calf or bred heifer) from any breeder, (purebred or commercial) in Canada. Proof of purchase is required. The funds will be transferred directly to the seller of the heifer. Purchase must be made by December 31, 2027.

A maximum of 140 entries for $100 each will be on offer and all of the money raised will be donated directly back to our junior’s future herds! You may purchase more than one entry per junior but can only win once. If you have been lucky enough to have won the heifer in previous years you are not eligible to participate.
